Visitors to Malaga’s inspirational Botanic Gardens can now experience different sounds as they walk through this unique environment, thanks to a multi-speaker installation commissioned by PROYECTO 76 and installed by audio-visual integration specialist SERVICIOS INTEGRALES M3.
WORK PRO IP65 outdoor range loudspeakers were chosen for this project because they offer exceptional power and clarity and can be placed in a variety of different positions to ensure maximum sound dispersion.

Based in La Concepcion Building, just North of Malaga and on the banks of the River Guadalmedina, the Botanic Gardens was originally created by French gardener Jacinto Chamoussent for the estate owners, the Marquis, and Marchioness of the House of Loring.
Subsequent owners added many new features including the Nymph’s Stream, the Palm Tree Avenue, the Viewpoint which overlooks the city and numerous contemporary sculptures. In 1990, the estate was purchased by Malaga City Council and eventually opened to the public. Its history and beauty make it a popular tourist location, while its collection of plants is also used for scientific and educational purposes.

The main challenge for this installation was ensuring that the sound system did not detract from the natural beauty of the Garden. Wiring was hidden and the position of each loudspeaker was carefully chosen so that they blended in with the environment while still delivering high quality sound. In total, 316 WORK PRO NEO5 IP passive speakers were installed, along with six WORK PRO PA 4500L amplifiers and six MARK MMP 33 audio mixers.
The project, which took place during the quiet winter months, took just five days to complete.
WORK PRO’s range of outdoor loudspeakers are the perfect choice for sound reinforcement in parks, gardens, and open spaces. The quality of construction and design guarantees durability and excellent sound quality.
